Initiatives: A variety of Programs to enhance and support student's learning.

ESL : English as a Second Language is offered to students who do not have any background of English and are to be taught the language from the very beginning eg: our Korean students. The program is tailor made to suit the needs of such students and enable them to become part of the mainstream within a couple of years. Additonal support is provided with technical terms being used in different subject areas.

French:

French is proposed in the curriculum for students who are keen on learning a foreign language that will surely broaden their prospects. At SelaQui International School we insist on making the students active in his learning process, by class activities such as role play. Verbal and written participation is encouraged.

The aim is both to teach the language and bring students closer to the different aspects of the French Culture by way of movies, music and literature.

SAT:

Originally SAT stood for "Scholastic Aptitude Test". In 1993, the test was renamed the SAT I: Reasoning Test. At the same time, the former Achievement Tests were renamed the SAT II: Subject Tests. In 2004, the numerals "I" and "II" were dropped and the tests are now named the SAT Reasoning Test (or just SAT) and SAT Subject Tests. SAT is a simple and recognizable way of referring to the SAT Reasoning Test.

TOEFL:

The TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) evaluates the potential success of an individual to comprehend and use Standard American English at a college level.

It is required for non- native applicants at English speaking colleges and universities. For example, if one wishes to go to Harvard or Stanford, one needs a high TOEFL score, say 280(650 on paper test). Many colleges only require a TOEFL score of about 133(450 on the paper test). SelaQui International School is a recognized TOEFL examination center and conducts these examinations about 7 times per year.

Arts Faculty:

Students develop their skills in western music, art and sculpture. Lessons focus on the areas of performance, composition/devising and listening /appraising. Students are encouraged to take part in performances and shows and undertake such initiatives which are beyond the prescribed syllabus. Under the guidance of qualified faculty, students are able to display their creative skills. They look forward to such sessions.
