SeQuins shining at the Athletic Meet 2022

Continuing its legacy of interdisciplinary excellence and the overall growth and development of its students, SelaQui International School organized the 16th Annual Athletic Meet from 8th to 12th October 2022.
Beginning with the inauguration ceremony on 8th October, the five days of extravagant affairs constituted a mind boggling number of more than 40 track and field events. Students of all genders, years and grades participated in the events with sheer vigour representing their houses. The enthusiasm of the participants was infectious and encouraging and everyone on the field could feel those strong vibes.
To complement the robustness of the final day, full of spirited sporting events, the contingents of the four houses led by the House Captains presented a disciplined march past, welcoming the esteemed Chief Guest of the day, Mr Dilip Tirkey, the former Indian field hockey player, and the president of Hockey India. It was followed by lighting the torch and taking the oath of fair play.
The sync and symmetry of the March Past took everyone by storm. The participants showcased impressive skills while the onlookers gazed in amazement at the neck-to-neck competitions. The dignitaries presented the students with awards which included the award for the best athletes, which went to Kaif Malik (Agni House, XII) for senior boys, Fazeel Ekram Ansari (Agni House, IX) for intermediate boys and Palak Vinay Singh (Agni House,VIII) for best athlete among girls. Jal House lifted the athletics trophy, and the best march past credit went to Akash House.
The Chief Guest and other esteemed guests recognised and appreciated the participants’ efforts. The Chief Guest also addressed the students and applauded them for being mindful of the importance of finding time for physical activities and maintaining health besides unlocking their intellectual and academic potential. He expressed content at the alacrity portrayed by the students.
His words encouraged the students and instilled gusto among them. The programme ended with a vote of thanks to all those who contributed to the event to make it a grand success.
