House Council

Aim

The aim of House Council is to strengthen the pastoral system by allowing students to participate in decision making regarding their respective Houses. The House system is the backbone of Public School life and the Housemasters should encourage active and vibrant House Councils.

Scope

The scope of House Council includes but is not limited to the Common Room, recommendations for House Colours, framing rules for the House, organizing teas, dinners as well as farewells for leavers.

Composition

Headed by the Housemaster with the House Captain as recording secretary, it will also include all Tutors, Resident Tutor, AHMs, House appointees as well as two students from each form(elected).
