The news could delight those students who were looking for an extension in the filling of application for IIT-JEE 2014 as the concerned regulatory authority CBSE has decided to extend the last date of online submission of JEE Main 2014 application form from December 26, 2013 to January 6, 2014. According to reports from various sources JEE Main 2014 has been scheduled to be conducted on April 6 in the offline mode and on April 9, 11, 12 and 19 in the online mode.
The extension of the deadline is a big relief for students who have not submitted their JEE Main 2014 application form yet. They now have about 10 more days in hand to apply for the exam.

About IIT-JEE: Admission criteria to Undergraduate #Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) – 2014 application form online.
